"UGREEN Connect" is an application and related services (hereinafter referred to as "this Application") provided by UGREEN Group Limited. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "UGREEN"). We take the security of your personal information and the protection of your privacy very seriously. This Policy is intended to explain how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information, and how you may exercise your rights. If you have any questions regarding this Policy, please contact us using the contact information provided at the end of this Policy.
Before using our products or services, please read and fully understand the contents of this Policy, with particular attention to the portions in bold.
The following describes all personal information collected by the features of this Application. You may also click Personal Information Collection List to view the details. For features you do not use, we will not collect your personal information, and your consent to this Policy does not extend to features you have not used. We will not use your personal information beyond the purposes disclosed in this Policy.
You may choose to register or log in using your mobile phone number or email address. When you register or log in using your mobile phone number or email address, we will collect your mobile phone number, email address, and verification code (or password) in order to create a new account or verify your identity.
You may add devices to this Application via Bluetooth scanning or manual entry. If you choose to add a device via Bluetooth scanning or manual entry, we need to collect your Wi-Fi list and Bluetooth list to facilitate the connection between the device and this Application. We collect this information based on your consent, in order to enable you to add and use your devices.
When you pair a device, we will collect your device name, device ID, MAC address, and SSID for the purposes of confirming device information, authentication, and ensuring device security.
You may customize your profile, including setting a profile picture and nickname. To set a profile picture, you may use a photo from your phone's photo library or take one with your camera; we will request access to your photo library or camera accordingly. We will also collect the nickname you set, which will be used to display your personal information and as a personalized identifier. The provision of the above information is voluntary. If you choose not to provide it, you may still use the default profile picture and nickname, and your use of other features will not be affected.
To help you manage and personalize your devices, we will collect and display your device name, which you may view and modify. Additionally, when you configure the screen settings of a relevant device, we will collect the device wallpaper you actively set, in order to implement the display effects on the device's interface. All of the above information is generated based on your active operations. If you choose not to configure these settings, your use of other device features will not be affected.
During use, we may request certain system permissions on your phone. You may click System Permissions List to view the permissions called by each feature. We will only request a permission when you access the corresponding feature, and we will inform you of the purpose of use before or at the time of the request. You may choose whether to grant permission. You may also view the permissions you have enabled by navigating to "Mine – System Permission Management" and tapping through to your phone's "Settings" to modify your authorization.
To maintain the stable and normal operation of our products and services and to protect the security and legitimate interests of you, other users, and the public, we may collect the following necessary information: device model, device brand, Android OS version, Android API level, manufacturer OS version, CPU architecture type, root status of the device, disk space usage, SD card space usage, memory usage, network type, names and PIDs of currently running processes, and Android ID.
We may also collect your service logs and fault logs generated during anomalies or failures, for the purpose of analyzing and assisting you in identifying and resolving such anomalies and failures.
We will collect the issue type and issue description/suggestion (required fields), as well as your contact information (mobile phone number/email address) (optional). You may choose whether to upload device logs (if you choose to upload them, we will collect the relevant log information). The above information is collected for the purpose of receiving, analyzing, and effectively processing your feedback, identifying device or application issues, communicating with you promptly, and continuously improving our products and services. If you do not provide the required information, we will be unable to process your feedback.
When you use a device that supports UWB technology and use the "Precision Finding" feature, the product uses UWB technology solely to calculate the relative distance and directional information between the device and your phone. This information does not involve your actual geographic location and cannot identify the real-world environment in which you are located. No geographic location information is collected, used, or stored. The relevant data is processed locally in real time between the device and the phone and is not stored or used for any other purpose.
In order to provide you with better services, we may entrust third-party partners to process your personal information. We will only entrust third-party partners to process your information for lawful, legitimate, necessary, specific, and clearly defined purposes. We will strictly limit the scope of processing by the entrusted party and require it to adopt adequate data security safeguards. If a third-party partner uses your information for purposes not entrusted by us, it will seek your separate consent.
To ensure the stable operation of this Application and to enable you to access and enjoy more services and features, we have integrated third-party SDKs into the Application. For details on how SDKs process your personal information, please refer to the Personal Information Sharing List.
Beyond the above, we will not share your personal information with any third party, except where we have obtained your consent to do so.
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual other than UGREEN, except in the following circumstances:
(1) We have obtained your explicit authorization or consent in advance;
(2) Such transfer is required to comply with applicable laws and regulations, legal process, mandatory government requirements, or judicial orders.
If we or our affiliates are involved in a merger, demerger, liquidation, or acquisition or sale of assets or businesses, your personal information may be transferred as part of such transaction. We will ensure the confidentiality of such information during the transfer, notify you of the name and contact information of the receiving party, and make every effort to ensure that the new company or organization holding your personal information continues to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If it does not, we will require such company or organization to seek your authorization and consent afresh.
We will only publicly disclose your personal information in the following circumstances:
(1) With your separate consent;
(2) As required by applicable laws and regulations, legal process, litigation, or mandatory requirements of a competent government authority.
In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, in the following circumstances, we may collect, use, provide, transfer, and publicly disclose your personal information without obtaining your consent:
3.1 Where it is necessary for us to fulfill our statutory obligations;
3.2 Where it is necessary for the conclusion or performance of a contract to which you are a party;
3.3 Where it is necessary to respond to a public health emergency, or to protect the life, health, or property of another individual or you in an emergency situation;
3.4 Where we process personal information that you have voluntarily made public, or that has otherwise been lawfully made public, within a reasonable scope as permitted by law;
3.5 In other circumstances as provided for by applicable laws and regulations.
We will store your personal information for the minimum period necessary to fulfill the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Upon achievement of the purposes described in this Policy, upon termination of our services, upon your withdrawal of consent to this Policy, or upon deactivation of your account, we will delete your personal information or anonymize it. Please refer to "Your Rights – Deactivating Your Account or Requesting Deletion of Your Personal Information" for further details.
We operate servers in mainland China, Germany, the United States, and Japan. Personal information collected and generated in mainland China will be stored within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Personal information collected outside mainland China will be stored on the nearest available server. For information on cross-border data transfers, please refer to the following section.
We provide products and services through resources distributed around the world. This means your personal information may be transferred to overseas destinations or accessed by overseas entities. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, where consent, regulatory approval, or the execution of a data protection agreement with the overseas recipient is required prior to the cross-border transfer of data, we will implement cross-border data transfers in compliance with local laws and regulations, in order to ensure that your personal information continues to receive equivalent protection after being transferred abroad.
We place great importance on the security of your personal information. To protect it, we have implemented technical measures such as encrypted transmission and secure storage, established a data security management framework, and ensured that our relevant personnel receive training on personal information protection.
We fully recognize that no system is impenetrable. We therefore remain committed to identifying and managing potential risks, and to implementing preventive measures to reduce the risk of your personal information being leaked, lost, altered, or accessed without authorization. In the event of a security incident, we will follow established procedures and response mechanisms, including promptly taking remedial measures, notifying regulators and affected users, and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
Please note that, although we have implemented reasonable technical and administrative safeguards and have complied with applicable legal requirements, you should also take active steps to protect your personal information, such as setting strong passwords and changing your account password regularly. Never disclose your account credentials to others.
In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information: the right to access, copy, correct, supplement, and delete your personal information; to withdraw consent; to delete your account; to request the transfer of your personal information (where applicable); to object to automated decision-making or direct marketing; and to lodge complaints or initiate legal proceedings in accordance with the law.
You may access, copy, or correct your basic information, including your profile picture, nickname, and account details, by navigating to "Mine – Profile Picture – Personal Information" or "Device – Profile Picture – Personal Information." If certain personal information cannot currently be modified by you directly, you may submit a request to us using the contact information provided in Section 10 of this Policy.
Subject to the requirements of applicable laws and regulations, you have the right to have your personal information transferred to a third party of your designation. You may exercise this right by contacting us using the information provided in Section 10 of this Policy.
You may modify the system permissions you have authorized by navigating to "Mine – System Permission Management" to access your phone's "Settings." You may also navigate to "Mine – Personal Information Protection – Withdraw Consent" to withdraw your consent to this Privacy Policy. Upon withdrawal of consent, you will be logged out and we will cease to collect and use your personal information. However, your decision to withdraw consent will not affect any processing of your personal information that was carried out prior to such withdrawal based on your authorization. All devices paired to your account will be unbound from your currently logged-in account, all data stored on the server for those devices will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you wish to manage those devices under the same account again, you will need to re-authorize and re-pair them.
This Application does not currently use automated decision-making technology.
We will not send you direct marketing communications without your consent. If you have consented to receive such communications, you may unsubscribe or opt out at any time.
You may delete your account by navigating to "Mine – Profile Picture – Personal Information – Delete Account" or "Device – Profile Picture – Personal Information – Delete Account." We will first verify your identity before proceeding. After you submit the deletion request, we will delete your personal information within 15 days. If you log back in and use the account within 15 days, your deletion request will be deemed to have been withdrawn.
For any other deletion requests, please contact us using the contact information provided in the "How to Contact Us" section of this Policy.
Please note that not all of your personal information can be deleted following account deactivation, withdrawal of consent, or exercise of the right to erasure. We will only delete information when the conditions for deletion as prescribed by law are met. Deletion may not be performed in the following circumstances: (1) the minimum retention period required by applicable law has not yet been reached; (2) where deletion is technically impracticable (for example, if your data has been archived to a backup system, we will cease processing other than storage and necessary security measures until it can be anonymized or deleted).
If you are dissatisfied with the manner in which we process your personal information or with the outcome of your exercise of data subject rights, you may first contact us for consultation using the contact information listed in Section 10 of this Policy. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent personal information protection supervisory authority or to bring a legal action before a court of competent jurisdiction.
When you exercise your rights to access, copy, correct, delete, withdraw consent, or deactivate your account, we will verify your identity through reasonable means to prevent identity fraud or unauthorized requests. Following completion of identity verification, we will respond to your request within no more than 15 business days.
In principle, we will not charge a fee for reasonable requests. However, if a request is repetitive, manifestly excessive, or requires disproportionate administrative effort, we may charge a reasonable fee based on the actual costs incurred.
We may be unable to respond to your request in the following circumstances:
(1) The information concerned is not directly related to you;
(2) The same or substantially similar request is made repeatedly without justification;
(3) Your request may infringe the lawful rights and interests of others (such as the right to privacy or personal information of other individuals);
(4) Other circumstances in which a refusal to respond is permitted under applicable laws and regulations.
If we decide to decline your request, we will inform you of the reasons for refusal in accordance with applicable law.
If you are a close relative of a deceased individual and submit a request to us to access, copy, correct, or delete the deceased's personal information, we will assess and process your request subject to the requirements of applicable laws and regulations. Depending on the circumstances, we may require you to provide relevant supporting documentation through online or offline channels.
This Application does not provide services to children. The age threshold for "children" shall be determined in accordance with the applicable laws of your jurisdiction (typically referring to minors under the age of 13 to 16). If a guardian discovers that a child under their care has provided personal information to us without the guardian's consent, the guardian may contact us using the contact information provided in Section 10 of this Policy, and we will delete such information in accordance with applicable law or take other appropriate measures after verification.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in response to changes in applicable laws and regulations, or changes to the features and technology of this Application. If the types of personal information collected, or the purposes and methods by which we process your personal information, change in a manner that may have a material impact on your personal information rights and interests, we will seek your renewed consent through a pop-up or similar mechanism. For other changes, we will notify you through appropriate means such as in-App messages, page notices, or announcements.
